ConfapiD Event on Gender Medicine
More than just an event
ConfapiD is a trade association made up entirely of women, but its focus extends far beyond women’s issues: it encompasses themes of equity, inclusion and social responsibility. For their event on gender-specific medicine, we were asked to design a visual identity capable of conveying the complexity of the subject: a dialogue between science, philosophy and storytelling to rethink health in a more equitable way.
The event, held at Ville Ponti in Varese and organised in collaboration with Confapi Varese, was sponsored by the Province of Varese, the Municipality of Varese, the Chamber of Commerce, ATS Insubria, the Lombardy Region and the Italian Red Cross.
Nuances that reveal complexity
We have created a visual system that moves between warm shades and transparencies – a fluid graphic language that reflects the very nature of the debate: not black and white, but nuance, dialogue and interplay. From the event’s identity to the poster, from the roll-up banner to the social media content for promotion, every element has been designed to give the event a recognisable and consistent presence both inside the venue and outside, on screens and on the streets of Varese. Because communicating health with equity requires, first and foremost, a visual voice that knows how to welcome.
Who provided the voices for the dialogue?
The speakers include professionals from a range of fields, including medicine, philosophy, psychology, architecture and innovation, who will engage in a multidisciplinary dialogue on the topic of gender-specific medicine. These include Professor Fabio Ghezzi, director of the Department of Gender Medicine at ASST Sette Laghi, and Florinda Cambria, a philosopher and lecturer in Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Insubria.
The day will conclude with an aperitif organised by Cafè21, an inclusive catering project based in Varese and run by young people with Down’s syndrome.
