When we showcased excellence
Lindt Excellence: when the packaging conveys the full value of the chocolate.
When we showcased excellence
Conveying the full flavour and quality of a product even before it is tasted: this is the challenge of packaging design in the food sector. It is no easy challenge, even when working with a brand like Lindt, which certainly needs no introduction.
Lindt’s chocolate is unrivalled: it is velvety, smooth, refined and of the very highest quality. The craftsmanship is superb, the ingredients are of the finest quality, and the flavour of every single product speaks for itself. So how, then, can we convey all this through the packaging of three products from Lindt’s Excellence range – the 70% chocolate bars coated on the surface with delicious Caramel & Salt sprinkles, Raspberry & Hazelnut and Orange & Almond?
Packaging design and development: chocolate that is (first and foremost) a feast for the eyes
Packaging in the food sector is very important; it must be almost as appetising as the product itself. In this case, the 70% chocolate from the Lindt Excellence range features a special texture that is inviting, elegant and eye-catching: that is why we have created a transparent window in the centre, right at the heart of the packaging, to showcase the chocolate’s artisanal quality. All around it, the graphics have been specially designed and produced to reflect the brand’s values: quality, elegance and sophistication. This packaging offers an experience from the very first glance.
Lindt chocolate: a fondant unlike any other in the world
Perfection often stems from a mistake. This is how the refinement of Lindt chocolate came about in 1879: Rudolph Lindt had been working for months to make his chocolate more pleasing to the palate and to create a texture that melts in the mouth when, one Friday evening, he forgot to switch off the conching machine. On Monday morning, when he returned to work, a marvellous surprise awaited him: the chocolate, which had been processed for so many hours in the conche, had become delicate and well-balanced – perfect on the palate. The original recipe has since been enriched with new flavours, but the marvellous quality has remained the same.
